Originally built in 1872 by the founder of the town, Captain James Cass, the Cayucos Pier was completely rebuilt in 2017 and offers panoramic views and licence-free fishing. 

This marooned fishing boat that crashed into the rocks in 2017 and is Cayucos' newest landmark and a photographer's dream.

Morro Rock, a State Historic Landmark, was formed about 23 million years ago from the plugs of long-extinct volcanoes. Morro Rock was an important navigational aid for mariners for over 300 because the rock is approximately 576 feet tall which made it the most visible in a chain of 9 peaks.

There are more than 200 wineries in the adjacent Paso Robles Wine Region, most of which are family owned and operated businesses. Wineries are located throughout the region and a majority of them have regular tasting room hours. Please ask about our hotel's exclusive tasting tours! 

Travel back in time and discover the enchanting and bizarre estate of William Randolph Hearst, a museum like no other. Each guided tour includes an IMAX film, "Building the Dream" and access to freely walk around the gardens and pools of the castle. 

The Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market is undoubtedly one of the most treasured events on the Central Coast and has a long history of bringing locals and visitors together to eat, shop, listen to music and connect with their community. The Market takes place every Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (weather permitting and excluding major holidays).

The northern elephant seal, Mirounga angustirostris, is an extraordinary marine mammal. It spends eight to ten months a year in the open ocean, diving 1000 to 5800 feet deep for periods of fifteen minutes to two hours, and migrating thousands of miles, twice a year, to its land-based rookery for birthing, breeding, molting, and rest. Piedras Blancas is a great place to view these remarkable creatures during their time onshore.
